🌱 Lupin Loop: A Day of Innovation and Collaboration at Our Farm

Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting the UK Agri-Tech Centre’s exciting event, ā€œLupin Loopā€, right here on our farm. It was a fantastic day filled with insightful conversations, cutting-edge research, and a shared passion for lupins.

šŸ‘„ We welcomed around 35 guests from across the UK—and even had the pleasure of hosting international visitors from Canada. The diversity of expertise and enthusiasm was truly inspiring.

šŸ”¬ The day featured:

  • Academic insights from the brilliant team at Leeds University
  • Agronomy, seed development, and growing techniques with Soya UK Ltd and ourselves
  • International perspectives from our Canadian counterparts at Lupin Platform and Bio Power, leaders in lupin-based food innovation

šŸŒ It was an incredible opportunity to connect with researchers, growers, and innovators from across the globe. We’re proud to be part of the movement driving lupin forward as a sustainable and versatile crop.

Thank you to everyone who joined us—it was a pleasure to meet such a dynamic and forward-thinking group!

🄃 Exploring Regenerative Whisky with Elsham Wold Distillery

We were thrilled to welcome Pat, Head Distiller at #ElshamWoldDistillery, to our Lupin Loop event yesterday!

Pat joined us to learn more about our innovative lupin/malting barley intercropping project. We’re experimenting with growing malting barley alongside lupins in a regenerative system—and if the barley meets malting spec, we’re hopeful it could be the start of a unique collaboration.

🌾 The goal? To craft a regeneratively grown whisky that reflects both sustainability and exceptional quality.

It’s exciting to explore how agriculture and distilling can come together to create something truly special. Watch this space!
